  • I am a recent graduate (I have a postgraduate degree in Law and undergraduate in Business Management), but also have good admin experience (working within a demanding role) but 99% of people are just not interested in my applications or me, finding it very annoying but you do have to stick with it.

Over the past three months I have applied for just over 140 jobs, I've had 3 interviews. I hate recruitment agencies with a passion, so many staff are rude, try and talk down qualifications that have taken very large amounts of effort, when I also mention my experience they then attempt to talk this down.

I have recently adopted a new strategy of trying to root out jobs with a direct application which does appear to be more fruitful, this would be my advice to anyone looking for work. I have some interviews lined up for some good jobs, without the **** from recruitment agencies.

I guess it was more to get the point across that job seeking is a job and if you are not prepared to give it 110% then an employer isn't going to want you as we all have to assume the competition is Mr or Mrs perfect?:D

A good time to post a link from Martin Lewis' blog
