Check on the Crucial memory finder, it will tell you. If it's a Toshiba Satellite A40 Series, you shouldn''t need matched modules.
But 2x512MB will only cost £36, so worth the extra £18 to bump it to 1GB.
Too expensive.
512MB for £11.62
1GB for £18.40
Perhaps a single 1 GB module is best.
Using the saving to purchase PCMCIA Wireless Card for £6.990
