Hi Folks

My son has just informed me that he's won tickets for a Beyonce event this coming Thursday at THE FOUNTAIN STUDIOS, 128 WEMBLEY PARK DRIVE, WEMBLEY, MIDDLESEX.

If he was to get the train down from Huddersfield to this event, that wouldn't be a problem, but getting home again is.

As far as I can see the last train leaves around 22.35 and then he would have to hang about Kings Cross until around 5 in the morning.

Does anyone have any ideas for somewhere to stay overnight on Thursday night that's near Wembley?

Sal

Just search for Hotels near Wembley that will throw up your options. Maybe an idea to get a hotel near Kings Cross instead, possibly cheaper. Try https://www.booking.com and https://www.lastminute.com. Probably cost about £150 - £200 for the night

Better still tell him to just sell the tickets ;)

The premierinn won't cost as much as that near Wembley...Kings Cross is expensive and very popular.

    Thanks for replies

Just checked the Premier Inn no rooms available.

He can't sell the tickets unfortunately, it's a competition win and they're not transferable.

Yeah guessing it's not a full on concert....it's just a filming for a TV show or something. Maybe it would not go on that late and he would still be able to make the last train home. Or just make sure he leaves in time for the train?

Sorry - late to this. Can't believe the price the Wembley hotels are -!- I checked Harrow as well, no joy, . Looks like most things locally are booked up! If it is a TV recording they won't like you leaving early and it may be difficult depending on breaks in the filming (I was at a filming yesterday that ran 30 minutes over (not at Fountain)). Holiday Inn Brent Cross? I looked at Finchley Road (Swiss Cottage) too - nothing available. Fountain Studios is almost opposite Wembley Park Station, but that doesn't solve your problem in getting to Kings X in time for the last train. I wouldn't recommend hanging around Kings X - don't know how old your son is ..... I'm hoping he's not going on his own. PM me if you need any local info - I use Wembley Park daily and I've been to the Fountain Studios many times.
  • How about the B&Bs? There is one on Blackbird Hill and another around the corner from the Premier Inn. I have never needed to stay in them so don't know the names. Sorry! There is also the Hotel Ibis which is a short walk from the studio.

not to burst bubble but unless she's doing 2 shows check the ticket because I know someone in there right now.

Steve Jones might be presenting because I just had a photo of him with them though he was dressed casual but as it's not due to start until 6:15pm wouldn't expect a tux.

The one on Blackbird Hill is "The Arena Hotel" - I did have a quick look on Tripadvisor (ugh).... their website doesn't seem to work either. I've had friends stay at the Hilton, and at the Quality Inn. The Green Man (the road opposite what is now the back of the Arena running uphill) does rooms, never been in there. Everything seems so pricey!
