my SOA - any advice?

If the car is on HP you need to read the t&c's. Most will say that in the case of br you will have to return the car. Your's might be different. It will be the finance company not the OR who decide on that.
Then even if they agree that you can keep paying for it, you have to convince the OR that you need it. At the end of the day the CCCS does not decide the OR does,If your main reason is your daughter's access, why can't your ex arrange something?0 -
have you met my ex? i wish it was that simple...his contact order states that he has to collect and return after weekend visits and one evening per week after school. he doesnt drive and so the only one suffering here is my daughter.
i will check the terms of the HP, by the way the finance agreement is in both names...nightmare :-(0 -
spoke to my HP company and they are ok for me to keep the car aslong as the OR is...so fingers crossed!0

Have you no landline?
You may have problems with the mobile phone and internet.
Looking at your SOA you are going to have a surplus of about £200 a month. Seems very high, considering your low income. You need to find some more allowances.0 -
That's cool. Not a lot do.
Just have to put your case together for the OR on why it is essential. I would concentrate heavily on your job and then getting DC to school and leave the rest as an aside to add to it, not the main reason.
ETA; just looking at your SoA, will post again in a minute.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -

Am unsure as to whether you can claim all those activities for your daughter. Dancing, swimming and school trips , I can see that getting cut back.
One you missed is haircuts.
You seem to have maximised all your allowances, it should be what you spend. It looks to me you are doing everything to avoid an IPA, you want to hope the OR doesn't see it as that .
And as stated before, I hope you have a good case to keep the car. The CCCS do not decide and I feel that if you don't need the car for work , the OR may take some persuading.0 -
i work full time at the moment earning about 1550 net monthly, same outgoings as above so im kinda going to be living on a reduced wage from september when i go part time as daughter starts school.
its a gamble with the car, i know this...but i will be hoping that the OR will accept the need to keep my daughter's contact with her father as he doesnt drive...and also taking and collecting from school is my resonsibilty alone. The longer I am sat on buses etc, the less hours I will be able to work and earn, I have definately allowed for some allowances to be reduced and fully expect to pay something through an IPA and the nil tax code.
does anyone have any experience with HP car in Br's?? - i might start a new thread...0
