laptop- lenovo warranty miss leading

If you buy a lenovo laptop it comes with a 1 year warranty.

If you buy an extended warranty called a '2 Years Mail-in, full labour and parts'
you would think that it is now covered for 3 years from purchase - nope!! it is now covered for 1 more year??

The product clearly states that it is 2 years mail in. not a 2nd year warranty or a year 2 warranty

Product SKU: 55Y2522
Product Name: 2 Years Mail-in, full labour and parts.

in emails they still refer to it as 'extended 2 years warranty'

I will never buy lenovo or IBM ever again

most if not all extended warranties are the same, and are a waste of money anyway because the sale of goods act gives added protection outside the 1st year

On the other hand I once bought an ex-corporate Lenovo refurb (prob around 3 years old), with 3 months remaining Lenovo warranty on it. I ran onto a software problem and needed a full re-install, and Lenovo sent a full set of installation CD-ROMs.
