I'm asking for Peter's analysis of his statement for precisely the reason that I can then base my opinions on the analysis and data and not some throw away unjustified comments.

If you've quoted all the figures, from industry experts, I suppose we've all missed it.
Guess we'll just let the rest of the forum posters and readers decide, but to be honest "experts" don't normally convince me much.
Year end results tend to be factual though.

That's not what I said actually.
I said I base my opinion on information from industry experts (if they are reputable), that doesn't always involve figures.
If you are going to get personal (which I don't actually think is a good tack) then you need to be careful to read what people have written.

I haven't actually taken any particular position on this thread, merely asked for the analysis so that I can be open-minded.
So there is nothing to decide about my position as I haven't taken one !!
I'm asking for the analysis before taking a position (which is the opposite of what you are accusing me of).
