If you don't want it to affect your benefits then very the last thing you need is a joint-tenancy.0

I'm not paying for him. Why should I? He doesn't even send me a Valentine's card.0

This guy doesn't even have a job yet and you're thinking about living together?0

I dont think i explained it properly, We dont wish to live on benefits, What i was asking, was would it affect us while he is on the sick, he had 2 heart attacks and hasnt been fit for work, When he goes back to work then we will reassess it then.0

He had a job, but at 36 years of age had 2 heart attacks and as he was hospitalised for 5 weeks and was on a trial period at a new job, they let him go. We have been together a while but only recently decided to live together, was asking for advice but thanks anyway.0 -

I don't know about anyone else, but you've just confused me even more...are you or are you not living on benefits at the moment? My understanding of your first post was that you're on benefits and don't want your benefits to be reduced if your boyfriend moves in. Is that what you meant?0 -

Are you laughing at the fact you have posted 30.000 times and clearly have no partner or life so are unable to offer advice?0 -
As soon as this bloke moves in with you he could find that he won't be in receipt of any benefits and you could be expected to support him out of yours. That's what people do when they're in a committed relationship, isn't it?0

We meant how would it affect my benefits, we certainly dont expect to live for free. We just want to be able to get through a difficult period in our lives, together.0
