Buggy Insurance - 18 Year Old

I’m thinking about purchasing a BlitzWorld Howie 650cc Road Legal Buggy. ( http://www.blitzworld.co.uk/howie-650cc-road-legal-buggy-i245.html )

One problem, i’m 18 years old.

I’ve tried ringing several insurance companies who either will not insure me, or have provided figures in the region of £2000-£3000.

Does anyone know any insurance company’s who will provide UK insurance for a 18 year old passed for approximately 1 year?

Didn’t find vine cover in my initial search.

Just given them a call and they provided the best quote so far. Still high but around the £1400 mark. I’ll keep searching!

Yes. It’s the same story with many others. Bike Sure, Adrian Flux, Footman James and Falcon to name a few.

You have actually rung them, not applied online?
Maybe it's that particular buggy then.
They've insured my 17 year old on a classic policy, and as a named driver on a kit car.

I’ve phoned them all.

Perhaps it is. Just posted on here to see if someone else has had a similar experience and came to a reasonable solution.

We had the same, Footman James were the only one that insured 17 year olds, but it's not unknown for some of the sales peolpe to say no, even though the webite says they can quote for under 25 year olds.
Sometimes it's worth a call back to a different operator.
