Sorry, the description says Released September 2009 which I thought made it 3rd Gen, but just looking the 32gb and 64 gb 3rd Gen came out in Sept 2009, as did the 2nd Gen with updated iOS (confused yet?). So I think tjis is actually a 2nd Gen with iOS 3.1

It looks like the £80 one is 2nd Gen - sorry for the confusion!!

No problem Does the 2g have an inbuilt microphone? I wanted the 3g to be able to use skype, so hope the 2g will work as I know the 1g doesn't....

Looks from the wikipedia link that it does.

Also, another site states:
