Cancelling a holiday

I booked a holiday a month or two ago, but due to certain circumstances I need to cancel.

I've paid £200, and have to pay another £150 by July 22nd. I get paid on this day and I haven't got enough money to cancel before then. When I've looked at it, it says I still have to pay the £150 to cancel the holiday.

My question is, because it says BY the 22nd of July, does this mean it has to be paid before that date, or it can be paid on the date?

it usually means you can still pay on that day, so dont worry. Alternatively, if they insist on it being paid BEFORE that date, just give them a cheque the day before (after 3.30), and you'll still be covered.

Have you looked to see if you are covered under insurance?

Most places wont take cheques anymore, but you will be able to pay on the 22nd. If the cancellation isnt covered by insurance don't cancel straight away wait until nearer to paying the full balance as your circumstances may change or ask them what your options are.
