Getting married here then going abroad

Hi everyone
My Fiancee and I are getting married next year.
But we want to get married say on the friday, then jump on a plane the next day for our honeymoon.
How do you go on with the passport situation (the wife will be Mrs Monkey) and when you book the tickets is there a problem?
Any help will be greatly received:T

You can get the passport before hand in the name of Mrs Monkey I understand, check this with the Passport office. Easier would be to book the honeymoon in your existing names and change the name on her passport when it is next due for renewal. (That's the money saver answer.)0

One word of warning, you can get her passport in her married name 3 months before the wedding, but she won't be able to use it until after the wedding, it's fine if she's unlikely to use it, but if there's a chance she might it would just be easier to book the honeymoon in her maiden name.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

as above really if she has to renew her passport anyway id renew in her married name as my passport was only 9 months old i renewed then to married name and had to pay full price for a new one after the wedding. but you can travel in either name as we got married in cyprus and could fly home on maiden name.1414-sealed pot challenge :j157-virtual sealed pot challenge:) £10.23..

I travelled in my maiden name. Tickets were all booked in my maiden name as my passport still had ages to go. In fact I have travelled some 2 years after in my maiden name.
As long as the name on the ticket matches the name on the passport you are fine.Debt August 2009 - £30,525.50Debt Paid February 2011

As long as you book your honeymoon with the name on your passport it should be fineI am a Travel Agent
