Credit card insurance

Just thought I'd share this very useful tip that a solicitor gave me. If you're asked to pay a surcharge on a purchase for using a credit card (and thereby taking advantage of the insurance cover), then just put £10 onto the credit card, and pay the rest by debit card. You'll still be fully covered by the CC insurance for the full amount if anything goes wrong, as long as the purchase is over £100 and under £30K.
