Application Notice

Hi
I have just received an application notice. The defendant is asking the court for "STAY OF EXECUTION TO GIVE TIME TO PAY BY MONTHS OF INSTALMENTS".
What is my next move? Do I contact the defendant and arrange some kind of payment plan? I only want maximum instalments of 3 months.
Thanks

Speak to the court first and see if you can find out how many months he's applied to pay over.0
