Can I find an email I deleted?

I thought I'd have a sort through my emails, got a bit carried away and deleted one I wanted to keep - even more helpfully I have emptied the deleted folder - is there any way of retrieving it as I deleted a voucher.
Thanks!

Is your "email provider" office based or a freebie/isp ?

can you get onto ( logon) the web mail server from where you get your email ? Do not send/rec mail until you try this.....

Sorry - outlook express from the 2003 office.

Sorry to be confusing but Outlook Express isn't part of Office, it's part of Windows.

As stated above: if it's OUTLOOK (which is part of Office) then do you get your email from your ISP or is it a Web Mail (e.g. Hotmail, Gmail etc)

And also as stated above - DON'T TOUCH YOUR EMAIL APP FOR NOW!

If you havent deleted it from your ISP's server, you might be able to download it again. Ive got Opera which I use for browsing and emails but if I then go into mozilla thunderbird,it will download all the emails on the server wether opera has downloaded them or not. I have thunderbird set to delete from server on download and Opera set ,not to.Just incase I delete from Opera by mistake.
  • I haven't got a freebie one, I've looked at the isp one directly but it deletes from there when i delete in outlook.

well it may still be in the trash folder of the isp mailbox - have you looked there ? See if your isp has help pages - I doubt they will restore your mail box ...

But if it was a downloadable voucher and you looked at the voucher it will/may be in your cache/temp files ..... do not clear any temp files

Have you looked in the trash can in the email program?
I dont use outlook but in opera it goes in the trash can and you can search it and choose undelete which restores it to where it was originally.
  • Just realised that when I sorted out some bits on my pc I had to load office again the other day and imported the old emails - I deleted them but I have imported again and its come back - so have all the others I deleted but at least its there! Thanks for all your help!
