Damp patch on ceiling

Recently there was a hole in the seal of the bath in the flat above mine and water was leaking from their flat and finding a path to my ceiling.
The only reason I found out was because when I took a shower the steam would condense on the ceiling and form a wet patch where the water was finding it's way onto the top of my ceiling.
The leak has been fixed but a damp patch still forms when ever I took a bath or a shower. The patch is nowhere near as large as it was when the leak was active but is it still significant although it dries out pretty quickly when I drain the bath or stop the shower.
The leak was sorted about two weeks ago, how long would it take for the ceiling to dry. I have had an expert out and he tested the ceiling and said it was dry. I also have a damp meter and it does give pretty low readings, except after a shower when it shoots up by about 10%
What I am worried about is that the ceiling is still not dry from above. It is hard to see because there is only a small crawlspace between the floor of the flat above and my ceiling. It looks dried out from looking at it from the bathroom.
The ceiling is plasterboard.
What I am worried about is that the ceiling is dry which will mean this damp patch going to be a permanant fixture every time I take a bath or shower.
What can i do about this?

So a leak happened and the plasterboard ceiling was not replaced? Have gently pressed the ceiling (damp bit)? Is it soft? If it is, get someone in to replace it.
If it look dry, clean the damp with some nice mould killer or something along the lines of that. Paint the ceiling.Motto: 'If you don't ask, you don't get!!'
