End of my tether- help available??

Morning,
After another sleepless night I thought I would post here to see if there is any help available out there.
I posted a couple of weeks ago about a potential damp problem (I'll put a link in later). It is just getting worse and worse, in summer so god only knows what winter will be like!
I was woken at 1am by our plumbing system making a huge glugging noise- that has just started this week. We had the whole lot of our pipework replaced this year too.
Do any workmen actually do any jobs properly? Why is it so difficult to find honest, decent tradesmen who don't just come in, fix one problem but create 100 more?
We're so fed up we are talking about selling up and renting as we just cannot seem to fix the house. We are waaaay over budget and have no furniture- I am typing on my phone on a fold up camping table (laptop broken too- nothing in this house actually works).
What we need is a real life Sarah Beeny, someone who will come in and tell us how to get this place ship shape and to get the right people in. At the moment we're looking at undoing £4k worth of work to fix another piece of work that cost £2.6k. Do such people exist? I dont even care about the cost, at the moment I am so broken I just want it fixed, I do not want to deal with any workmen- just one person who can come in, identify the issues and get them sorted.
I don't honestly think either me or my husband can take any more, even the people who were supposed to paint our exterior cocked up- how difficult is it to paint a few window frames??
Oh and to top it off I was in a car crash with an articulated lorry last week and my car has been written off, part of me wishes it had taken me out too. I am so fed up, at least the life insurance would have meant my husband could just sell up.
Wow, sorry, huge rant. But the question still stands- I am in London. Does anyone know of any services, as mentioned above, where they will take charge of household repairs and are able to advise on the best course of action?

I'm sorry to hear about your problems, try not to let it get you down too much, remember there are always people worse off than you.
I'm from Birmingham and the only honest person I know that would help you is Dan Wiggs from http://www.thehandymanvan.co.uk/ but he is based in Croydon. he did some work to my Aunties house.
I'm afraid the only good peeps I know are all Midlands based.
Good luck0 -
Can't be any help I'm afraid but just wanted to add my sympathy. My father was a time-served joiner and used to have his own business doing general property repairs which is the type of general all-rounder you seem to need. Just someone trust-worthy to keep you right.
Giving this a bump hoping that someone local will be able to help you. Maybe if you edited your title to include your area? Have you thought of asking for recommendations in your local shops, community centre etc? It's a start...
Good luck ...The beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you.
Thanks to everyone who contributes to this wonderful forum. I'm very grateful for the guidance and friendliness that I always receive from you.

If you identified where you were in the country, maybe some one could make a recommendation.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

I hope things work out
You do get decent tradesmen (and women) - they are about, but they don't usually advertise much as they rely on word of mouth only
I see alot of this- at least 2 times a week I am in a job that requires me to fix someone elses work, before I can carry onbaldly going on...0 -
