In short no you still have to agree to look for work. The advisor will not care what job you get, even if its selling magic carpets at some new marketing pyramid company or joining the circus.

I do wonder though whether it is partly down to their experience, he's been doing it for 25 years I think so has obviously seen it all, including other recessions and so is maybe a bit less gung ho about changing things.

I wasn't told I could get free travel to interviews till I was out of work 6 mths!

I was told about it at the Back to Work session in week 6 I think it was...............

Edit: Just to rub it in to those with rubbish advisors (only because I appear to have hit upon a rare nice on after 4 months), he told me to enjoy myself as I left with us then making a joke about not enjoying myself too much as it was very serious business

well I had a back to work session but only 6 of the many on the list turned up so it was cancelled and we were all told it would not be rescheduled
