Oh no, don't be put off. Could be a genuine mistake and also people aren't always aware of what others are recruiting for. Odd but true! I would try again and then if you don't have any luck wait patiently. Best of luck!0

I would call her back and tell her shes given you the wrong number. Don't give up!0

well how unhelpful some people are, I figured I would wait to see if they would call the same time today, they havent. I picked up the phone to asda adc explained the situation she said it wouldnt have been them as they arent recruiting. I told I her I was not sure which depot it was as it was advertised as rdc. She said it might be another depot, gave me the phone number, I checked it was correct then rang it but it is a phone number for a nearby nursery.
Sick, I was really looking forward to this opportunity too.
I don't see how that's 'unhelpful'. She didn't know who called you because it wasn't from their depot. So she gave you a number to call.
You may have dialled it wrongly, or she may have read the number wrongly (yes, even though you checked it) - or she may have the wrong information on her records (organisations do change numbers and frequently don't tell other parts of the organisation - that wouldn't be her fault).
I don't see how she's been unhelpful to you. She didn't refuse to give you another number, or deliberately give you a wrong number; she gave you what she thought would help you.
Call back and ask again, or phone the other depots.
Good luck.
KiKi' <-- See that? It's called an apostrophe. It does not mean "hey, look out, here comes an S".0 -
Have you tried calling back the number you missed the call from in office hours?0

I have tried calling back, again same recorded message, I also know I didnt mistype the number as I rang it twice and it comes up on google search as a nursery number too. It was unhelpful she wasnt even prepared to listen really.0

Perhaps because she knew that she couldn't help you? Wouldn't it be worse to let you explain for ten minutes then say... sorry, I can't help you with that - wouldn't you be irritated that she'd let you babble on knowing there was nothing she could do for you?I have tried calling back, again same recorded message, I also know I didnt mistype the number as I rang it twice and it comes up on google search as a nursery number too. No not really, I would have thanked her for her help and assistance.0
