In reply to the_tired_one - you buy the postage serivce item via Ebay and pay via Paypal/Credit Card and book the collection via a web form or maybe email.

Because we have enough volume to get a Parcelforce discount contract, we keep tighter control over collection times & tracking by using Parcelforce's online system directly. But always keeping an eye open for a better deal!
  • just thought i'd mention thats these two ebayers don't seem to have anything listed!

    regards

I Don't think they could handle the amount of orders they were getting - im sure it was thousands when i last looked.

payperdrop and selective seem the cheapest the other two who were cheaper are not available as stated above, although selective has put his price up a little. I am about to post a 6kg printer. who should I use selective or payperdrop, I may need more than one delivery incase the purchaser is not home. Who is the the recommended?

    Hi,

I used payperdrop and my buyer wasn't in twice. They re-attempted delivery once for free but the buyer decided to collect from their depot. And there was NO Extra Costs!

  • Regarding the OP about packaging supplies whenever in Ikea I always like to 'wrap up well' any purchases with loads of their tissue paper and brown paper. It all gets recycled!

I have used Payperdrop on several occasions and they are brilliant.
    Selective2007 are crap!!
When life throws you lemons...put them in a gin and tonic !!

Not always, I've had a rough ride with them a few times, but today was very smooth.

Also, if you check their feedback you can see that they have alot of very happy repeat customers - so they can't be all bad.

I'm not saying they are brilliant, but I am happy to use them, they get there in the end and £3.99 is super value.

Well I've taken the plunge with Selective so will see how it goes! Filled in the form on their website at ~2.30pm and booked it for 28 Feb, have not received any sort of email confirmation, tried to call them on their 0870 number for ~10 minutes but no one picked up even though the automated man kept telling me I was 1st in the que. So far not so good ... maybe I should have gone with payperdrop

Hang on in there Saeed, all is not lost. I booked my collection on Monday (26th) early pm, for collection on Tuesday (27th), did not get any confirmation email, didn't try phoning, but they collected on Tuesday 27th lunchtime ish. Checking on DHL tracking my parcel has reached the Hatfield Terminal and if past experience is anything to go by it will be delivered tomorrow morning Wednesday 28th.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, no email doesn't necessarily mean no collection.
