We're currently getting quotes on a replacement for a Powermax x155 boiler (which isn't made any longer). Its installation doesn't conform to norms - you can't inspect the flue which is vertical - so the installation cost of the new one has to include re-siting which is going to be v expensive :( The heating engineer…

I'd opt for the Vaillant but I do like the Worcester greenstar too. Both good boilers in my opinion.

The only Vaillants that irritate me are those with a siphon filling mode for 15 mins after you have the power off and on again, so you're waiting around for ages before you can do the service!
