I want to:
- Keep my old email address which is [EMAIL="xy@btopenworld.com"]xy@btopenworld.com[/EMAIL]
- Transfer my email account to google mail.

if it's your old ISP's account then:
I do it with my old Freeserve & Virgin.net accounts...
You have to keep them both active, as mine are old "pay as you go" accounts I need to reauthorise the accounts 2 to 3 times a year. But it's usually a case of logging into the webmail directly.
I've set my Google mail to send and receive as my old accounts too.
it's east to do just go into google mails settings (you have to already be logged in to your gmail account for the link below to work:
https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/?shva=1#settings/accounts
add your account to "Check mail using pop3" and "send mail as" (if you want to send with your account)
and away you go...
if it's your own bought and paid for domain name then things are a bit differentLaters
