Is there a solution to this bathroom problem?

Our new house, has a newly fitted bathroom, which is lovely. Except it has two windows, one overlooking side of the house, one at the back.
The bath is located underneath one of the windows, with the tap end right next to it. It's for this reason i suppose that a shower hasn't been fitted over the bath (and there isn't room for a seperate shower cubicle), you would be stood right in front of the window, and water would get on the windowsill and i guess eventually seep through it (although it is tiled)
Eventually we would like to shift things around in the bathroom, but for the time being we can't afford to do this
so, our options are:
1 - put up with not having a shower, buy one of those rubber hoses that attach to the taps for hair rinsing
2 - get one of those mixer taps with a shower type attachment. If you have two seperate taps, could you get one of those things to fit? or would the holes for the taps be too far apart?
3 - find out for sure whether there is any way to accommodate a shower next to a window
4 - ask all you helpful people if you can think of any solutions?
thanks

Can you fit a bath screen? Or does the bath sit under the window sill?0 -
Put up a couple of pictures so we can see the exact situation.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
I had the same problem as you once before. The practcial, but ugly, solution is to run a rail across the window so you use a shower curtain on that side of the bath and thus mask off the window, this will keep the water off the window cill and also help with privacy issues of the silhouette of the bather seen from outside if you get a particularly opaque curtain
clealry you use a more attractive shower screen on the other side of the bath. It does mean you end up with a relative small cubicle space but if you really must have a shower then its a workable compromise
but it is ugly in use and curtains (however heavy) are prone to being sucked or pushed back and forth during use so you suddenly get touched by a bit of cold plastic0 -
we had this issue, we went to our local blind company and bought a waterproof blind that fits outside of the window, so the water runs off it and it gives privacy. The downside to this is that you need the light on to shower, and the blind does need replacing every couple of years.0

We have the same sort of bathroom as you, we have a shower, a blind at the window which we pull down when we're having a shower,
the blind is inside the reveal, water does get on the windowsill but it's not any more water than goes on the tiles, I just squeegee it off whn Ive finished. A plain glass shower screen on the other side of the bath. I dont find it a problem.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0
