ideas on matching up carpet (and moths) please?

Our whole flat is carpeted. The lounge and hallway carpets are really horrible and need replacing. The bedroom ones aren't great but they can wait.
The trouble is that we can't find the same carpet again. It's a good quality wool one from about 2000 from one of the big manufacturers and is one of the thousands of shades of beige that are churned out each year, all slightly different.
Any good ideas on how to match it up please?
Also we had a carpet moth invasion 2 years ago so there are holes. We still do get a few moths on detectors, but if we spray the floorboards and the new carpet once fitted, hopefully that may work and the moths will not think Xmas is here (?).
The moths seem to be coming from another flat or outside as we see them in the common areas (although common area carpet is synthetic) and we can't say anything as it's not an insurable risk, so may get into a big dispute with generally unpleasant neighbours over replacement of their carpet too.
We do get the carpets professionally sprayed every 6 months, but moths seem impossible to eliminate entirely.
have seen some non wool carpets but they weren't great.
However we had a quote of about £3000 for the lounge (25m2), stairs and hallway passage, which is truly scary, plus must be sure the moths won't destroy the new one.
