Parasol base alternatives..

Is there anything I could use as a parasol base for my large wooden parasol?

At the moment, I have it in a plant pot with soil, however, for obvious reasons this isn't ideal.

If anyone has any ideas, please let me know :)

replace the soil with sand or fill with concrete around a drainpipe. you can get mini ones in b and q

How large and how big is the plant pot?
  • It's probably a medium size tub. I guess sand would be a better alternative.
  • they were selling bases cheap in wilkos if the pots not working, mines in a pot with soil but its not a really big parasol:o

I live in County Durham, so not really anywhere near Leeds unfortuantly. Thanks for the offer tho'.

Unfortuantly, must have been windy during the night & it has blown over the parasol & caused a crack in my wooden table. :o
