Hi
I've just bought a Cool-er ereader and I've bought a few books which I've downloaded no probs onto it.
I've just received an email from Amazon saying that they're having a Kindle Summer Sale, the prices are really low so I'd like to buy a few but I'm not sure if I can download them to my generic ereader or if they're specifically for the Kindle?
I appreciate any and all advice

Check to see if your reader supports AZW format books. 99% of what you get from Amazon is in their generic format.
Not a lot of other readers support it.0 -
Had a quick google and apparently my ereader only supports the following file types: PDF, EPUB, FB2, RTF, TXT, HTML, PRC, JPG, MP3
So guess that means these wee cheapies are no use to me then?.•

you might be able to use calibre to convert: http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=calibre+azw+to+epub&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&client=firefox-a
but I'm assuming amazon DRM their books so it won't work0 -

Android is one of the listed things to read kindle books on, so is iPad & iPhone. I've got an iphone but don't want to fill it up with books, however for 99p a time I may just pop a couple on. Shame they wouldn't go on my ereader cos i liked a fair few of them
