Cineworld Unlimited Advanced Booking

First of all I'm not sure if this is the right place to post, also this isn't a pointless rant thread, I'm just trying to see if I have a basis to question the T&C
As everyone with an unlimited card well knows, the only way to pre-book a ticket is to go into the cinema on the day and get the ticket.
Well on Friday after seeing a the first harry potter, me and my partner decided to book the next film for the next day; not knowing of the booking rule at this time, the cashier proceeded and we had our tickets.
So come Saturday we decide to do it again for Sunday, this time we were told you cant do this. So I ask to speak to a team leader/manage and was told in the terms and conditions it states you can only book on the day, I asked why, he told me that it was to stop people getting tickets and selling them to make money.
I doubt that can be the reason, as what is stopping someone from getting the tickets on the day and still selling them. So does anyone know who I should be contacting in regards to this part of the terms? Is there a phone/email I can use to get in touch.
The reason I want to find out the reasoning behind;
"7.4 The User may only book a ticket in advance in person at the Cineworld Cinema on the day of the performance and may not book online or by telephone." is because right below this T&C there is another that says;
"7.5 To use the Unlimited Card, the User must present it at a Cineworld Cinema box office. The Unlimited Card will be scanned to check its validity and additional identification may be requested. If the Unlimited Card is validated, the User will be issued with a ticket for the chosen screening and time, subject to availability. If the Unlimited Card is not validated, the User may be advised to contact the Unlimited Helpdesk, for data protection reasons. The Unlimited Card must be shown again when the tickets are checked before entering the relevant auditorium. Entrance will not be permitted without the User presenting the Unlimited Card."
7.5 states that the only way to get into your showing screen is to have you're unlimited card on you. If the reason for 7.4 is actually what the team leader told me, or even if it isn't, I think I have a right to complain because it shouldn't matter what day you book a ticket as the cineworld staff are supposed too check your unlimited card by law.
If I do get in contact with someone high up at cineworld, whatever reason they give for 7.4 should be able to be counteracted with 7.5. So does anyone have a number/email to contact and do you think I make a good point.

Did you read the full terms and conditions when you purchased, Because if you did you wouldn't be posting here now.
Maybe it was just a new cashier that was on that day.0 -
they are the terms, no point questioning them, thats what the business says you need to do to use them, so thats what you need to do to use them - you got lucky on the first time - I would imagine they do this for a very different reason than quoted though...that being people turning up - if you book tickets days and days in advance and then not turn up they can't sell that ticket on - but if you do it on the day then you are less likely to fail to turn up (as you are already there).
There's real no issue here though, I can't see a basis for disputing the T&C's laid out.0 -
I'm afraid visidigi is quite right, you agreed to the T&C when you signed up to the contract, no point in trying to negotiate on the terms now.0
-
I didn't say I wanted to negotiate. I'm happy with what I have. And I read the terms, the important parts about payment and what will happen if you don't pay ect.
All I said was I wanted to find out the reason behind not being able to book.
So if anyone knows of a number I can ring to get in touch with head office, please post here.0 -
There is an address for HO and a number for unlimited enquiries on the website, maybe try saynoto0870 for a HO number0

The reason I said what I said was due to this in your opening post:I'm just trying to see if I have a basis to question the T&C
In any case...
Address and numbers are here https://www.cineworld.co.uk/contact0 -

Just to add - they aren't checking your card because they have to 'by law' just as part of their Ts and Cs. You seem to be arguing that because they state that they will check your card at the cinema, they should allow you to purchase in advance because you wouldn't be able to re-sell. However, they are allowed to have a failsafe method to double check that the customer is abiding by their Ts and Cs without it rendering any other terms null - having two methods of ensuring their customers abide by their rules is perfectly reasonable.0 -
Well done dhiren, you've just been reported for spamming!0
