Shangri la hotels

Hello forum,
I would appreciate any advice as to whether anyone thinks that staying at 2 different shangri la hotels might get me a bonus/discount/upgrade?
I have been trawlling the net and phoning but perhaps some of you experts on here might know something I don't about the best way to get a deal.
We are travelling from glasgow on 7th oct (flexible by 3 days). Ideally direct to Borneo( via KL with emirates looks like the cheapest flight) for 8 nights, then to Phnom Penh via KL, 5 days later fly Siem Reap to Kl, check in to Shangri La for 3 nights then flexible with return to uk by 3 days, must be back no later than 30th Oct. My sis lives in KL so any extra days will be spent at hers.
I am looking to stay at the Tanjung Aru in Borneo for 8 nights and the Shangri La KL for 3 nights. My dates are fixed for KL, well one night must include 22nd oct. I know in KL if we stay for 3 nights they are throwing in breakfast. The tanjung aru however are charging almost £20 pppd!!! I have had some quotes from trailfinders/travelbag/dialaflight but unfortunately nothing I feel is a bargain enough fo me to jump at it.
Quotes so far,
Dial a flight £750 for flights to KL and 3 nights Shangri la KL
Travelbag flights to borneo, borneo-cambodia-kl. 8 nights Tanjung Aru and 3 nights Shangri la KL £1749 each.
Can't remember trailfinders but more expensive than these 2.
Looked at airasia & Malaysian for flights to Cambodia. Malaysian are roughly the same price with better flight times so would rather fly with them. Would like to connect return from Borneo with flight to Phnom Penh, again airasia uses LCCT which i'd rather avoid unless a big saving.
Anyone fancy a challenge?
I'll find our own accommodation for Cambodia but again if anyone likes looking for a bargain that would be great:) 2 nights Phnom Penh, 3 nights Siem Reap.
Cheers to anyone for reading, trying to help.
