Oven getting hot after cooking

Hi,
I hope someone can help...
I have a Creda Hotpoint cooker that is 3 years old.
I used it last week - the main fan oven and 3 ceramic hob rings. I turned 1 ring off 5 minutes before the end of cooking and strained and mashed my potatoes. When cooked, I put a baking tray with the foil container with faggots in it onto that ring. I noticed that the ring was still so hot that the gravy bubbled.
All through dinner, I was really hot. I glanced at the cooker and there was steam coming from the faggots tray. Even when the meal was finished the hob rings were too hot to clean. When I went to put the baking tray back into the main oven, that too was still very hot. I put my hand inside the top oven/grill and the grill elemant was actually hot even though we hadn`t used it.
This was all about 30 minutes after I had finished cooking and all rings/ovens were turned off and it was also turned off at the main socket on the wall. I have been doing this for years lol - very MSE.
I have just used the main oven again for the first time since then as I`ve been a bit worried. The same has happened again - the grill element got hot after cooking in the main oven even when everything was turned off.
Any ideas? I`ve also just noticed that the light in the main oven isn`t working either. I`ve never noticed my cooker doing this before and I want to see if this is a problem or does anyone elses cooker do something similar when cooling down? (it took about 2 hours for the oven and grill element to cool down last week)
I hope I`m not being stupid.
Thank you.
