Just a blog kinda to share about Gizmo..
Some may already know, i have a pup perry, well he is 3 now but he will always be known as perry the pup.
His best friend in the world is Gizmo the cat, who is about 3, but lived with the OH, each weekend i would go to OH's home with perry and Giz and perry would have a fun weekend chasing each other etc.
The about 2 months ago Gizmo disappeared, OH and me were deciding at the time when to move Gizmo to my home as we are getting married next year, and wanted Giz to move sooner rather than later.
A month had passed and with numerous calls to vets and the council etc we resigned to the fact gizmo was gone, and decided to get a kitten for company for perry who was missing his friend.
A week later Gizmo came home ( :T ) and so we decided to make sure the kitten and Gizmo's jabs were all up to date and decided this weekend was when Gizmo would move...
OMG
Kitten has gone balistic, quite funny watching this little thing that can't quite meow start hissing and growling arched back skipping sideways at Gizmo, poor Giz ran straight behind the washing machine and spent most of yesterday there.
But today perry came back from OH was missing gizmo and was happily surprised to see his friend in his home.
Kitten is still not happy, but giz is now hissing back her even swipped her once (she needed it i think)
We know giz loves lofts and so we've opened the door to mine and got the ladder up and giz shot up there and has spent most of the day there, kitten can't climb that far this is his safe room.
We even went out and got a feliway plug in and hope that eases tensions.
Gizmo is eating happily and drinking and taken to being kept in ok, even has used a litter tray just for him, even did a stinky one in the kitten one (lol) been purring up in the loft...
I hope things get better soon, and now sat in living room with kitten and dog, whilst OH is in bed room and hopefully Giz is there too just him and his dad.

Little kittens asserting their catlike authority are soooo funny, aren't they? Sounds like they are sorting out their ground rules quite effectively to me, so I expect to see pictures of them all getting on fine in the near future!I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll 0 0

I hope so, i feel so sorry for gizmo, hiding in the loft... although he had the run of the house last night when kitten was shut in the living room for the night, 20 mins of howling from her and she gave up.
Need to move a few things around in the bedroom like everything off my chest of drawers as giz was exploring and knocking things off bless0

            Maybe it's the Feliway...
A few days now since the big move for Gizmo and roles have been reveresed.
Daddy's lil Princess (aka Georgie) is no longer top dog (cat)
she's done all the hissing and crab dancing that Gizmo could take, so he has started to hiss and hit out..
We have left them to it, although still supervise them just incase it got nasty.
Gizmo is very much the boss now, and Georgie is always trying to get closer but no longer hissing, she want's to be friends, but Gizmo being male can't just become friends, has to be on his terms when ready.
They sit about 10 inches apart, that's the closest he lets her, but today Gizmo has spent more time down here with us than alone in the loft, although famous for his afternoon naps he will have nap in loft...
Perry the pup is stuck in the middle, often getting a wallop from his best mate Giz in the crossfire, but apart from that things are looking good.0
