Can anyone help?
In the dyatime I'm a normal person (well for a 47 year old) I drink normally and goto the loo every 2-4 hours
At night, it's a completely different matter!
Once I get into bed and start trying to drop off I'm soon reminded of the need to go to the loo. I'm out of bed and up to the loo every 10 - 15 minutes passing tiny amounts of urine, back in bed but 10 minutes later back on the loo.
I drink red wine but have recvently knocked this off toward bedtime
I have tried decaff tea and recently, because this hasn't helped have now switched to cranberry juice.
I'ts not a recent thing, been going on a few years but it's now doing my head in and leaving me exhausted in the day time
When I do drop off or on those occasions when I manage to get straight off I may wake up after a few hours to go to the loo and then just drop straight off to sleep but the problem seems to be in the first part of the night when I'm just lying in bed trying to drop off.
Does anyone know what could be causing this or suggestions as to how I resolve it?
(BTW - if relevant 2 pregnancies and children age 8 and 4)

Always go and see a doctor first, goes without saying, But if you haven't heard of them womens health physiotherapists are the best thing you'll ever come across in relation to peeing problems.
They'll help you work out how much is a physical (remember your pelvic floor ladies) problem, whether it's stress or urge incontinence and give you lots of ways of dealing with your troubles.
Just don't think there's nothing to be done to help. There always is,and honestly they've heard it all before and have the paper towels in place!0 -
Please forgive me for bumping this up, but I really think that urinary problems give men and women a lot of grief. And we're none of us too good asking for help and seeing if there's a real health issue because it's so 'yucky'.
I got an immense amount of help from a womens health physio, but this was a private and paid for service.
My darling husband is currently dying form advanced prostate cancer with bone metastases is the spine and pelvis. if he'd not been so 'blokey' when he was having problems peeing and seen a doctor sooner it may have been different.
He's 57 and was diagnosed 3 years ago, he won't see another 3 years and maybe not another 3 months .
Please don't take things for granted, see your doctor ask for help and listen to the advice you're given X0
