why do they do it? what do they gain from it? I hate it and hate to think how many people are actually unaware it is a scam, the ad had nearly 600 views in one day!0 -
thanks everyone for the help re the scam ad, I knew it was dodgy, but I always just HOPE it might be true
LOL never mind...
So there we go... I now started to seriously look for the flat and anything nice I'll be going to view...(things are going quite ok with my job search and I hope to have something nice secured in August...) Move in date would be beginning/middle September...
Everyone who has some time and is bored or just a good soul and happy to help is more then welcome to post links to nice finds :A
The requirements here are:
-1 bedroom flat(not a studio and not a flatshare) good size
-as close as possible to Shepherd's Bush(Acton, closer Ealing considered as are surrounding areas quite close to A40/M40)
-nice, modern and furnished(or part furnished/unfurnished would be considered too if really nice and good location-we'd be then looking for some second hand furniture like freecycle/gumtree/ebay bargains)
-price we are willing to pay is up to 1100GPB with all bills(1200 if it will be REALLY nice and good location)
I think that's it really... I'll post some examples of what I liked later in my posts so if anyone fancy to join me in my search it would be really nice :T0 -
Some examples of what we like:

thanks devotee
that sort of help is what I'm hoping for! :A
the first one would be perfect if there was a bit more of a kitchen...
I love to cook and need a bit more then a microwave
however we might have a look at this flat as apart from the "open plan kitchen" everything else looks nice and the location is just perfect! :T
I need to try to figure out how far will it be from Acton/Ealing to get to the places I might get to work in... I am hoping to cycle and I recon I could do ca. 5 km each way(i.e. half an hour or so)
but many many thanks for your time and I hope to see some more nice finds :A0 -
If you can do the cycle then get a W5 properties! Nicer area and more space. The commute should be 20 mins

The property you like is above a pub, and its a busy one with lots of space for oudoor eating! Really noisy to live above!Give yourself a Chistmas bonus £14 a week!
Total so far £280 -

they gain £££££!...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

I know! Have lived in London for 13 years and am appalled at how many of these flats have a 2 ing basic hob and a microwave as a "kitchen"!Give yourself a Chistmas bonus £14 a week!
