Home Insurance - "Near Water" clause - what should I say?

Hi,
I am going through the renewal process for home insurance. Many of the sites ask if you are within 400m of water. The answer to that is yes - but my house is at the top of a bank, the water is a tiny stream that has never flooded and if it were to affect my property the houses at the bottom of the bank would be completely under water
For the purpose of the insurance I can safely say that the stream at the bottom of the bank would never cause my house to flood.
My question is this - if I therefore select house more than 400m away from water and I was to have a fire or burglary would that invalidate my claim - or does it only invalidate a flooding claim (that could never happen).
The reason I ask is because if I select within 400m of water many companies will not quote, and those that do obviously increase their premium.

dont hide it. I live further than that from the river (albeit the trent) and the water was ankle deep here in 2007, I live a considerable distance uphill too.0

I would agree totally it I lived near a river - but this is a stream
Its about 5 cm deep (if that!) and between 50cm and 1m wide down a ditch
For that to flood to the scale required to hit my house it would need to grow to the size of the trent

Ring the prospective insurer and ask the question... they may speak to their underwriters who just say 'Yeh thats fine'0
