I was renewing my car insurance this month when i realised i've lost a years NCB.
I've had my licence since June 2005, no accidents/claims etc - so i should of had 6 years no claims bonus - The car insurance company have said that they have 5 on their system (I've been with them for 2 years) and that "I" must have told them the wrong info
I asked how to correct it and they said i need to get in touch with ALL the insurers to get proof - Except i normally change every year (this year being the exception as they were cheapest) and i dont remember all the insurers
Is there anything else i can do to get that year back?
I know its only a year and probably wouldnt make much difference but still! I'm sure if i ADDED a year instead of lost one my insurance would be void (?)
I dont know if i accidently told them wrong info or if it was an admin error their end but i'd like to get this sorted
Any ideas?
Thanks

If you have to go back more than 2 years they may not accept it anyway. I would just forget out it.

I dont see why you would need proof from all your insurers, surely the last one before the compnay you have now would do.
Try and speak to the last company and see if they can give you proof that when you left them in ~June 2009 you had 4 years NCB with them.
Show your current insurers that when you joined them in ~June 2009 you should have had 4 years no claims and now July 2011 you should have 6 years NCB
Good luck, im still waiting on my first years NCB :P0
