Hi
Our south facing windows are old ( 12 yrs plus) and rotten (literally) and it's time to replace before the winter. Any advice / guidance / recommendations very much appreciated.
Safestyle - any comments ? We've had a quote for their new diamond range that is supposedly 100 % energy efficient - £5k for 5 windows and a patio door, 12 months interest free then the plan is to purchase via credit card with an 12 -18 month interest free period. As always, even though I say I'm just after a quote, I've signed on the dotted line  And as always I feel so blimin annoyed at myself for my impulsiveness ...
Thanks in advance

Check whether you have a cooling off period and decide whether you want to get further quotes from local, recommended firms. I don't think safestyle get a particularly good press on here. The general advice is to avoid national companies with expensive marketing campaigns ...0

They lied to you on the 100% energy efficient part.
The salesperson would have been out of my front door within 60 seconds of that statement.0 -
100% .......
Nearly as good as Anglian windows web site which saysExample: 1.5kWh/(m2-K) equates to 1.5 kilowatts of energy being lost through each square metre of window per year. As mentioned above, since the average semi-detached house has 16.9sqM of windows (GGF figures), the result is 25.35kWh of energy lost per year.
It should say it's 1.5 watts per meter square per decree difference of internal temp to external per hour. So the amount of energy lost depends on the internal temp and the external temp.
If they can't explain the basics how can they sell the stuff.0
