Would you use lino?

Would you use lino for the livingroom?
I have carpet down at the moment and laminate is not an option.
What are the pros and cons of Lino in a living room?

Thanks :)

I would'nt personally, however it would be very easy to keep clean but I imagine not very warm and rather clinical.
Also only once had that cushion floor type of stuff, which is what I presume you mean and it seemed to get lots of little nicks in the surface.
If you don't fancy laminate why not have wood laid instead.

When I was childminding I had cushionfloor/lino laid in my lounge. The pattern was like wood laminate flooring.

When I came to sell the estate agent put that it was a wood floor. I got it changed yet all the viewers still thought it was a wood floor.

I got the good quality one and it would probably be perfect for the duck. If I didn't have greyhounds I would let my hens wander into the house so I don't think you are odd for the duck.
Life is not the way it’s supposed to be. It’s the way it is. The way you cope with it is what makes the difference.

Thanks angelsmomma, I'm glad you don't think me odd :D. I also have 8 hens who come in on the odd occations but they live outside in the garden and henhouse at night .

I also want to go for a good quality one that was wood style and maybe get a rug. Would you say they are cold compared to having carpet down?

    Thanks

    Go for the vinyl.
It looks nicer for a lot longer than lino will with prolonged wear.
You will get nicks here and there but it'll still be better than lino.

Everybody had lino when we were kids, with a big rug in the middle of the room, but the colour wore in a lot of places (I think mom was heavy-handed with the mop).

My hubby's family had a duck when he was little, they called him Elvis :)

My ducks name is Crispy:rotfl::rotfl:......it's strange but he even knows his name :T.

I thought Vinyl was the same as lino, just 2 different names?

Linoleum (and yes you can still get it) is made from renewable natural materials. Vinyl is PVC.
