Wiping pc and re-installing windows

Should be tapping F11 key just after pressing the power button until you get the recovery options0

Thanks santer. I realise now that IMO is in my opinion!
If I use the F11 key as you describe is that what someone else was refering to as 'the factory store partition'?
Thanks0 -
Yes, this method removes all your personal data
Before running restore, download the firewall and antivirus programmes you intend to use, and load those directly after the restore, update them, run a full virus scan, likely to be quick
Defrag the hard drive, this is optional but I prefer to install programmes when the drive is defragged
Install the graphics card driver if one is needed and set the screen resolution because some programmes will only install when the resolution is above a certain setting
Then go to windows update and install whatever updates are available

Install any other programmes you will be using, then check with windows update in case any of them have made an update necessary
If it appears to be going differently to how it should be, please post back, so someone can have a look for any solution
Good luck, enjoy the speed of the restored PC0 -
