I currently have the LOGITECH SPEAKER X-230 2.1, they are very good but looking for something a bit more powerful and with more bass. I like the bass feature on these and was looking for somehting with the same feature.
What dies the 2.1, 5.1 etc mean? Not looking to spend more than £35, either 2, 3 or 4 speakers.
Would like somehting with higher watts than what I got now.
Thanks,
-MoE-

2.1: 2 speakers, one subwoofer
4.1: 4 speakers, 1 sub etc
you can get up to 7.1 surround sound systems0 -
Oh ok thanks. My lOgitech ones have got 32 watts or somethin, cant remember, well I want something with more watts!
Any good place to look for them?0 -
I believe that....
the main number is for how many audio channels are available and the .1 refers to the subwoofer
2.0 being a left and a right with no subwoofer
2.1 being a left and a right with subwoofer
5.1 being a front left, front right, back left, back right, centre channel and a subwoofer
bear in mind that you need a sound card in your computer that can handle 5.1 to actually experience surround sound on your movies0 -
yea ebuyer.com and dabs.com are a good place to start lots of nice reviews from customers which can usually be trusted0

The speakers you have are one of the best bits of kit for the money. To get anything better or worth changing to will cost you a lot of money.
Personally I would stick with what you have unless you are willing to fork out in excess of £100.
You need to do a search on reviews of speakers. What do you want them for?
I'm not a gamer bit they seem to like 5.1 sets, 5.1 sets are also good for movies. But if its just for music 2.1s are the ones to have.0 -
Might aswell keep them then. Thought I could get soemthing better around the £30-£40 mark. I got the 2.1, I would like to add 1 if not 2 more speakers? Can I buy them seperatly or would I need to buy the hwole set again?0

Unless you have a sound card that can support 5.1 then there will be no benefit. In my view 5.1 is the only step up worth taking0
