I was told that some satnavs can also be used as a hands free phone which would save having too many appliances in the car.

Could someone recommend the cheapest satnav that has this Only needed for occasional driving in this country but my husband would really like one as a present.

I have a Nokia C5 phone and it does both jobs perfect! With a Bluetooth hands free kit it's brilliant. I use a SuperTooth Visor One. The SatNav has free updates too!

Lokk for a phone with SatNav - Not a SatNav with phone capabilities.

My Tom Tom has Bluetooth capabilities and can be used as a car kit, it's about three years old so I would suggest that you check out the latest models on line or at somewhere like Halfords...

I've linked my phone to tomtom bluetooth enabled sat navs before using one of the latest models they're still pretty useless tbh the call quality is terrible sometimes through the tomtom I switched to a different hands free kit instead & just use the sat nav for what it is

Get IGO8 on your mobile telephone. I stopped using Tom Tom after I got it, more features and more accurate.
