Humph! Wireless woes...

I got a shiny new wireless enabled laptop for Chrimbo :j Hubby got a shiny new XBox 360 with wireless controllers :j. Are we both happy? No!

It seems that the wireless XBox controllers won't work if the laptop is using the wireless internet which frankly is a problem because at this rate me and husband are going to have to talk to each other if I can't surf while he's gaming

Anyone got any idea if this problem can be sorted out please?

Hmm, I'm doubting this. But you could try setting a different channel on the wi-fi basestation.

If I knew where or what the wi-fi basestation was then I'd happily try it :o

Your laptop will be connecting to a wireless router to use the Internet (either on cable or ADSL). You can set the channel used (1 to 11) to operate on a different frequency from that xbox controllers.
  • which router is it?

It's 1-13 in the UK btw.
Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time?

    OOoh that sounds promising!

I have a BT hub thingie, no idea how to change channels, it's taken me a month to get connected to the internet through it after throwing it down the back of the sofa in a rage :o

How would I find what channel it's set to please?

Sorry, it's the BT home hub, it doesn't have a model number on it as far as I can see.
