I was considering a towel rail and I read this- Heated towel rail problem

Make sure you have a compatible system or if you get a tall one it may never fill to the top.

there are towel warmers and ther are towel radiators out there. check the btu's as they tend to look the same. also chrome tends to be 15-30% lower output, you seem like you need a towel radiator, a good showroom will know the difference, if they dont walk

A ladder radiator stands a better chance of keeping the bathroom at a reasonable temperature, in the winter, than does a standard heated towel rail.

Also consider a dual fuel option (see bottom of page on this link - but shop around for better prices) in order to still be able to dry the towels when the c/heating is off. The OH declines to chuck the towels over the line in the better weather as she says it makes them hard!! Must try it.;)

As the towel rail will more than likely come supplied with 15mm valves I think it would be a lot cheaper to use two 50 odd pence reducers than go & buy new valves!

More than likely???? I have never seen 1 or had 1 supplied with valves.
  • Guess you're unlucky ehh
  • This should solve the problem.
10mm ANGLED radiator valves so will take the upright pipe and supply the horizontal towel radiator

    Plus it's under £2.

If I've not understood right they also do straight valves.
