Windows 7 automatic updates failing

Anyone else having issues with Windows 7 automatic updates failing?

    No, but the best thing to do is to turn off the automatic update setting and change it to manual.

    The automatic part seems to work OK it's on the re boot that it does not configure itself and reverts back to old settings.

    Run windows update, then click check updates, click the number of important ones, then check what they are

    I had a similar thing when it downloaded and installed updates for programmes not on my PC, .net framework 4 I think, so it would reboot, attempt to configure then roll back

    Bit of a chore but installing each one seperately will let you see which is the errant one, then if it is supposed to install, someone can help you look for a solution

    If any are for things which are not applicable, you can click them, then right click them and tick hide
