Stanstead can be a bit awkward for lounge access unless you know what you're doing. The lounges are mainly in the different satellite wings of the airport and once you're at one of the satellites, via the monorail, there is no easy way to get back to the central hub.

Your gate number does not appear on the screens until approx. 40 mins before you should be boarding so you don't know what satelite to go to until it's too late to make use of the lounge.

What to do is find out at check in what gate your flight usually departs from, go there to enjoy the lounge but keep an eye on the monitors and if the gate comes up and it's in a different satellite then ask the lounge attendant to organise getting you there. It may involve trips in a security vehicle and lots of frowns and worries about boarding times.
