I've never considered using an airport lounge before, but going on hols next Sunday and have decided to treat myself. Just a few questions though for those in the know.

I understand the lounges are airside so have to get rid of my cases prior to entering. Not sure however what time the check in desks open. My flight leaves at 5pm. What time should I book my entry into the lounge for, bearing in mind I'd like to make most of them.

Also, anyone got an offer code for Gatwick South next Sunday, 20 May. Just little old me travelling.

PM sent. Generally, lounges will allow you to spend up to 3 hours in there before your flight. The problem is if your airline only opens check-in 2 hours before, leaving you very little time at all. With whom are you flying and how long prior to departure time do they open check-in?
