I am in the process of renewing my 15years old passport and as the photo is alot different i am having to get the form/photo countersigned.
Can a manager from a bank sign it?
As i have an ex sister-in-law who works in an area of LLoyds as a manager who would sign it but not sure what qualifies as Bank/Building society official.
Thanks.

bank/building society official can sign
but
Your countersignatory should not:- be related to you by birth or marriage
not sure if ex-sister-in-law would fall into that0 -
Thanks, I was hoping/thinking now that she is an ex then she is not technically related anymore.0

Interestingly anyone who holds an alcohol licence can countersign,so your local landlord or even corner shop owner if you have known them long enough could sign.0

Yes have a nurse friend but is not local to me.have you not got any friends who are nurses? they can sign
Again yes i have someone that fits the above but my option is the quickest i believe, can't think of anyone else that would be able to do it so quickly.any business owner can sign as long as they are vat registered and have known you over 2 years and have a current passport0 -
I would ask the child's form tutor.
I am a teacher and I find I have a steady stream of passport forms to countersign. I am happy to do them, though I always ask the children why they preferred me to their GP. Those that have already explored this option then tell me that their GP would have charged them £xx, whilst I am "free"
