Switching to EDF, but changed mind over tariff!

Hi all
Last week I decided that now is the time to fix elec and gas. I decided to go for EDFs fixed saver 2 (fixed until sept 2012). Im still in the cooling off period. I didnt really consider the 2014 deal (dont ask me why!), however looking at the figures it only works out around 6% more expensive per annum. For me thats only £50.
As EDF are closed today, I was wondering if anyone knows if it would be possible to call them up and switch to the 2014 deal - without having to start the process again, i.e. begin a new 12 day cooling off period.
This may seem a strange question, but the reason for this is that I am with scottish power (on OES 13 tariff). I have called them up to say I am leaving because of the price increase but in order to waive the cancellation fees, they need to have heard from my new supplier within 15 working days. Obviously if I ring EDF and they start the whole process again and give me another 12 day cooling off period, I will exceed this limit and pay the fees. I would rather stay on the 1 yr fixed deal than risk paying cancellation fees!
Failing this will try to get a straight answer from EDF tomorrow!
Any info greatly received!
