Setting change Problem notice appears when I try to access Firefox Browser. It states a change has been detected and tells me how to uninstall.
I do not want to do this as I am happy with AVG.
How do I stop this Notice?
Thank you.

Do you mean the AVG linkscanner plugin isn't compatible with a new version of Firefox?0

Says AVG TOOLBAR
Setting change detected.
Please confirm your new default search settings.
Keep AVG
Change Default
I have to click one of the above 2 options.
I have never tried to change AVG in any way and downloaded the free version 2 years ago.
Sorry I am not too technical!0 -
Please can anyone help?0
-
Just press Keep AVG?0

Please Expresso do not reply to any of my queries. I have had lots of help on this Forum but have never had such a rude reply!
I am not a Techie but there are other areas in which I am Expert and you probably are not!0 -
Download a new copy, choose 32 bit or 64 bit, (32 bit is usually installed).

Download and run the AVG removal tool

Reboot the PC, run CCleaner, scan for issues if you have that installed.
If not, the slim build is good, no toolbar offerings

Install the new copy of AVG Free, check carefully for any add ons offered, and untick the boxes for any which are not relevant0 -
If you press CTRL SHIFT A inside firefox, it'll go into the Add-on manager. From there, make sure you're in the Extensions bit, and have a look at what's there.
There may be other toolbar / search helper type extensions that are fighting over the default search engine.
Personally I'd remove the AVG toolbar.
If you run DDS, wait for it to produce the DDS.txt log, then copy/paste it to http://pastebin.com/ I could see what extensions are running

Edit: you'll have to give the link/URL to the pastbin though! Also it only does the Firefox plugins, my mistake I was thinking of another one.0 -
