Dulux luminescent paint

Not sure if anyone has used this stuff - its supposed to make your room look 70% brighter as it has light reflecting qualities in the paint etc etc.
I know - I thought the same thing but wife won the decision and have to admit its really good stuff. When you put it next to dulux pure brilliant white which we had as an undercoat it really does lift the room.
Wouldnt usually post to say paint did what it advertised but I had low expectations so credit where its due.

I have used it on my hallway 4 years ago, I believe it does make a difference but the biggest difference would be painting it white. Fair enough it looks brighter than normal coloured paint its not cheap though and I found it does go far, hallway need 3 coats and it wasnt a dark colour0

Thank you for posting this. I would like to try this paint in my lounge, stairway and landing as there is very little natural light. I have read mixed reviews about it - some say it is good but others have complained about needing lots of coats and not seeing much difference.
Being really nosy - what colour did you use? I think I fancy Lunar Falls or Chalk burst for my rooms with the white on ceiling and coving.0 -
I think this paint is like the Marmite debate you either Love it or Hate it!
I was in a diyshed choosing paint for the Hallway and couldn't decide on Lunar Falls or go for the own brand similar colour, sort of should I go for it or should I save the pennies (pounds) thought in my head. When a bloke approaches me to say go for the Lunar Falls, "it will definatelt brighten up the room", then a couple overheard to say "no go for the cheaper one as it won't be cost effective and it doesn't really lighten the room". So in the end I sort of started a "raised" debate in the paint section of the diyshed. So in the end I got neither and made my way quickly out the store before fists came out. Seriously I've never seen anything like that before especially over paint.0
