Getting back on our feet but still suffering with the lurgy in the house. Never mind. Hopefully this will mean that the rest of the summer holidays will be germ free. Well I can wish.

I completed 2 mystery shops today and just need to type in the results which akes me a while to get motivated about.

I sent back three parcels of items I had got in various sales as we can do without them really and I've stock piled enough clothes for my daughter until the end of the year. With her starting school in september she'll need less normal clothes anyway. Did get a few bits for my son as he is growing at an alarming rate - already on some 6-9 month clothes and he's only 9 weeks old today!

Got one of my credit card statements through the post today so will need to make a trip into town to see if I can pay at least the minimum.

Despite trying hard not to go overdrawn on my main bank account I am nearly half way to my overdraft limit!:eek: Will need to sit down and really go through where my money is going and allocate a very, very strict budget.

I have opened a new account and this is where all my child benefit is going. This will be used for anything the children need in the future which means I can keep track of spending on them hopefully as this is my downfall. I already know I need to buy school shoes for my daughter but I will not get these until the last week of the summer holidays. All other uniform is bought.

Not got very far with my list of getting the house sorted as just not been up to doing anything. Will need to crack on this week though as it's getting unmanaegable.

Need to get my bum in gear as the children are both asleep. Well, the baby is being a pain and refusing to properly settle so we'll see.

Phew. It's not too good here. My poor baby boy is really suffering. Every time he drinks his milk he screams in agony and then for up to half an hour later he is still in pain. We know he has reflux and he is already on three lots of medication for this but it is heartbreaking to watch. It's all such a contrast to just a week ago when he would gulp down his milk but now it's a real battle. We're back at the doctors next week so will see how we go.

Just about to pop out to Tesco for the weekly shop. Got my coupon from the Mail and Mirror and I have a Sainsbury total spend off so have worked out my spend today. Also have a few coupons to use. Hopefully will not go over budget - must be very strict.

Today is our ninth wedding anniversary. Not doing anything really and have just done token gifts.

Must dash as the little boy is crying again.:(

Thank you. The problem is the IP address. We only have one computer at home and even with my hubby opening an account they will still recognise the IP address and ban him too! We are looking at ways round this at the moment - just haven't had the time.

I have also earnt £32 in mystery shopping this week.:j

  • Enjoying reading your diary, we too have a daughter starting school in september and also a 2 year old son. I just wondered how you had signed up to be a mystery shopper and what it involves? Thanks

I'm not sure how to do links but if you go to forum and 'Up your Income' there is a thread there called 'Mystery Shopping' and the very first post lists how to become a shopper and gives you a list of all the companies that you can join. I hope that makes sense.

Not much to report today. Did have to spend some money as had to get some bits for my little girls uniform. Went into Next to see what they had on offer and was very disappointed. I usually get my little girls trousers from there as she is soooooo skinny only these will fit her but I was not impressed. I did however pick up a bargain. I picked up a grey school cardigan age 5-6 years (thick material and seemed very good quality) and it was labelled as £9 but scanned at £3.50. Obviously I went back and got another one (there were only 2 originally in her size). So I got 2 cardigans for £7 instead of one for £9. :j

Then had to go to Marks and Spencer and picked up a pinafore and a skirt with adjustable waist. When I went to pay I got a £5 voucher which will come in useful.

Also completed another mystery shop today just need to imput the results.

Desperately trying to sort out a very, very cheap holiday for next month but being august that is proving impossible. Would normally book for september but my little girl starts school which is a real bummer. Gone are the carefree days when we can just go where we like during the week. I shall really miss those days - now everything will cost at least twice as much.

Right back to sewing on labels to school clothes.
