Do the emails you get talk about waiting for suppliers to get stock in? If that's the case, especially on games, then its worth cancelling if you haven't got the games after a couple of months as HMV are probably unlikely to be able to source them.

I've had a couple of games that I have been waiting to be sourced for around a year now. ;)

  • Best thing would be to email them (or ring them), I had a problem with a missing delivery and they sorted it out through email.

yes all the emails say waiting for stock from supplier....but what i DO need to know is it immediate for my e-vouchers to be re-imbursed to my hmv account:confused:
  • I bought a CD from them pre order and used a voucher, the CD was missing a DVD that was included in the CD sealed etc the disk just wasnt in the holder. I returned it to HMV with a covering letter explaining the problem and requesting a replacement. HMV are useless, The refunded me rather than replaceing the item totally ignoreing my letter I wont be buying from them again.

Calling them was the only way to sort it out, it takes ages to get to someone your call is important etc you just need to stay on the phone I drove from Goole to manchester while on hold, they repeated my order so I got the cd and DVD for the price I originally paid. I will stick to Play.

    I've pm'd you
  • HMV Online telephone - 0845 603 8576 (Monday-Friday 8am-6pm, Saturday-Sunday 9am-5.30pm).

Their email is through their form at http://www.hmv.co.uk/hmvweb/displayMailUs.do?ctx=1053;-1;-1;-1
, and you should eventually get at reply from service@hmv.co.uk though I don't know if they use this for initial inquiries/problems.

I wouldn't use the phone though, they don't answer the phone, you're lucky if they answer their emails, and if they do, you're lucky if it actually answers your query!

I cancelled an order I made when the item was out of stock and I found it in stock elsewhere, had used e-vouchers to pay for it. The cancellation went through okay, but the e-vouchers weren't refunded! Called up, took about 20mins on hold before I spoke to someone. She didn't seem to grasp my enquiry about the e-vouchers, took 3 attempts before she understood what I was on about. Apparently as it was showing that I'd paid £0.00 for the item there was nothing to refund... until I pointed out the only reason it was £0.00 was because I used e-vouchers!

She's forwarded my info to another department who are meant to refund it eventually, but she couldn't give an estimate as to when this was (don't know if it's just generally not known or if it's linked to being between xmas and newyears), but I'm gonna check back in a week and see if it's returned to my e-wallet.

Wish I'd called to cancel now, least that way it'd have saved practically spelling out what I was on about so many times....
