Quick question about reclaiming credit card charges

If you successfully reclaim credit card charges can you get the credit card company to refund you into your bank account or by cheque etc or will it have to come off of your credit card balance?

Usually they will offset any refund they decide to pay you against the money you owe them.

If, of course, you don't owe them any money (or the refund is greater than what you owe) then they will usually pay you directly (or at least the remainder as the case may be)

Thanks for the reply. I owe them money on my credit card but would rather have the refund in cash/cheque/in my bank account

If the CC refunds you charges, they will put the account into the same position as if the charges
had never occurred (all those months/years ago).

Charge and credit cancel each other out. Just the same a refund at a merchant.
